Archives Ready for Fall

I was going through some of my archives and realized I never posted this outfit.  Well, the photos definitely are one reason why I postponed them...  It was humid that morning!
Although chilly; very humid.

What better week to post this than this week?  We're sitting in the 40's as a high all week long.  I even busted out my wool coat yesterday.  Luckily, this is not Winter approaching us quickly.  We'll be back in the 50's next week.  Phew...  Just in time for Halloween!

Recap

Well, it's been a few weeks now and I realized I haven't made time for my blog world.

Honestly, it's been a pretty hectic few weeks.  So, let's recap, shall we?

I will squeeze everything into one post to keep you all as updated as I can.

So, I left off with my birthday being only a few days away.

What did I do to celebrate?
Matthew and I went to see The Wizard of Oz 3D in IMAX.  I didn't wear my ruby slippers, like I intended to, but I still showed my support:

Of course it was a fantastic time!!  I was like a kid on Christmas morning!  I danced, lite up, acted surprised... If people didn't know me, they may have thought it was my first time! ;)

Fast Forward to the first weekend of October:
Matt and I ran away to an enchanted forest filled with s'mores, loved ones, fall colors, beer, dancing, game of pool, potato guns, wildlife, and more!  Exciting, right?  It was!  Every time we get a chance to escape, we always enjoy ourselves to the fullest.

Matt finally got to use his Christmas present!

In between it all, we engaged in fall festivities:
Apple Picking & Pumpkin Farm

More to come later this week!  Hopefully this held some of you over for the time being.

One last note:

Many times this past weekend, I couldn't help but take a moment and reflect on what an amazing family I have and the family I married into.
I am forever grateful for all the love and support I have from them.

They are my whole life!

Tuesdays are Starting a Trend

Seems like Tuesdays are the days for massive snow storms.
In March.
So if you are a bride, planning a winter wedding in the Midwest, screw December and January.
Focus on March.
You're ensured for a "white wedding".

Let's hope work calls for another snow day ;)

Mixing Prints + Pop of Color

I must have been hiding in a cave because I was unaware of this ice storm we're having.  It wasn't until I was at the baby shower I attended this afternoon when I overheard the guests talking about it.  By the time I walked out to my car, it was full of ice.  Luckily, the shower was literally right down the street from me so I was able to get home safe and quickly.  I hope everyone else is driving safely!

The shower was so beautiful and simple.  I didn't know anyone, but I thoroughly enjoyed who was at the table I was sitting at.  It was nice talking to you all. :)

And I seriously cannot wait to meet Baby Ramcke!!!!!  Especially to see if it's a little girl or a little boy :D  I don't know if I could wait till delivery to find out the sex... My curiosity would get the best of me... Especially when I saw a faux fur bolero for a three month old and thought "MINI ME!"  If my husband was with me, he would have shook his head at me and walked away.  He already did when I stumbled across a Sully (Monsters, Inc) plush!

Here's what I wore:

Water it and Watch it BLOOM

Recently I accepted the challenge to make an enormous flower on a pin.  I loved it so much that I decided to give it a trail run with my polka dot dress.  I have to say, I loved this outfit and I received tons of compliments from females AND males.  Some I'm sure just shook their heads at me, but that's me :)  I'm the "flower girl" at my work, so I'm ok with that. :)

I can't wait to make more!!  In fact, I plan on making one for my recent eyelet trench in felt :)  Any suggestions on what color? :)

Pink + Red = Polka Dots

Who says you can't wear pink and red together?  Oh wait.. That was me!  I always feel like it's too "Valentine's Day-ish"... But after seeing another blogger pairing the two together, more drastically than me, I couldn't help but admire her.  So here it is :)
P.S.  Are you getting tired of the polka dots yet? ;)
