I was going through some of my archives and realized I never posted this outfit.  Well, the photos definitely are one reason why I postponed them...  It was humid that morning! 

Although chilly; very humid.

What better week to post this than this week?  We're sitting in the 40's as a high all week long.  I even busted out my wool coat yesterday.  Luckily, this is not Winter approaching us quickly.  We'll be back in the 50's next week.  Phew...  Just in time for Halloween!

My mood seems to be dead on with the weather outside right now.

Gloomy, rainy, windy, chilly.

 

I haven't been feeling all too well as of late, hence my absence.

 

I'm on a lot of medication, trying to nip this in the butt....

This sweater is indeed too big for me, but it was hard not to pass up...

with it's soft knit and subtle sparkle.

Besides, I feel everyone needs that "oversized, I don't care, I'm comfy" sweater in their closet.

This week we hit a new record!  It reached the sixties!  Such a beautiful day!  And it rained.. most of the day.  Which I love even more.

But now it's bitterly cold again.  Dropping below zero.  And with the windshield, it feels like negative 20.  Brrrr...

A Few New Things

I'm *in love* with this fur wrap/scarf!  I always wanted them but every year that comes and pass, I leave the store empty handed.  Probably because I have an overload of scarves as is, that I couldn't find the urge to purchase a new one.  However, these babies are clearanced out at Target right now for $5.98!  Comes in this lusious wine color and also a deep teal.  I bought one of each :)

You may have seen me debut this ring here.  Another clearance Target find, just a few days ago!  It reminds me of Beauty and The Beast <3

Texas + Mustaches

Today is the day... Mom and Dad #2 are on their way to TEXAS!!!!  Whoa hoo!!!!  I can't wait to be retired..  Then every winter I can escape the cold and run through different states and explore a little more of my country.

The cold would be ok, though, if we had snow... And if my teeth weren't so gosh darn sensitive.  (I can't even SMILE outside or my teeth feel like they will break right off...)  But I'm extremely thankful for our fireplace and free wood.  (Did I just say "free wood"?  Get your minds out of the gutter!)

I was in Texas once or twice... (The second time is so hazy, I don't even know if it really happened!)

We drove down helping a friend move.  It was a long, long road trip.  No overnights.  One straight shot.

I remember LOVING Austin.  But really, really wanted to visit Dallas.  That didn't happen though.  Sigh... Maybe next time. :)



P.S.  What's with the mustache craze and why am I so obsessed?  It's going on for about two years now...

When I was shopping at Target the other day, I scored this puffer coat for $2.46!  Don't believe me?  Here's the receipt!

It was an online only item that was returned to the store.  It was marked for $9.66 but when I went to check out, it rang for $2.46!  Cha-ching!!!  I always wanted a long puffer coat for the cold, windy days here, but didn't budget for one yet.  I was so giddy after this purchase!

Don't you just love the dramatic collar?  It's not a hood.. Just a puffy collar.  It's almost like a pillow!  I could nap in this coat...

"Curvy-licious"

Everyone always hears, "If you have curves, show them off"!  It took me many, many years to finally get more comfortable doing exactly that.  But I know that once in awhile it's nice to step out and wear something slightly more form fitting and that enhances your curves.  I absolutely LOVE this dress.  And I know my hips look wide and my butt is.. well.. there.  But this dress is long enough and sexy enough.  And I love the high neckline.  No need to worry about the "girls" in this dress :)  And I love the zipper accent.  Gives it an edgy look in a small, small way.
