Good Morning, Beauties!!  So thankful it's Thursday... The week is almost over!  (Woot, woot!)  Here's today's outfit.  If there's something to love about button downs, it's SHORT SLEEVE button downs..  So versatile and roomy, especially when paired with a cardigan!

Two Scarves are Better than One

Last night I started playing with my sewing machine a little more and after picking up two remnants for 70% off the  already reduced  price (SCORE!) I decided to quickly make two infinity scarves.

After making the first one, I eagerly wrapped it around my neck and was a little giddy, I must say!  After making the second one, I wasn't quite ready to take the first one off, so, then the light bulb lit and  (ding, ding, ding)  I intermingled them!  WOW.. What a nice, cozy way to make a big statement!  (Ok... I'm sure someone else has thought of this forever ago, but I missed the memo!  And, so.. Maybe you have too? :)  Well, here's yours!  Don't say I didn't try to help :D)

TRY IT OUT!  Any scarf would work; it doesn't have to be an infinity.  I just like the "chunkiness" of the infinities more :)

Enjoy!

Think Spring

The weather outside is frightful...

Last week we hit a high of 50!  So unusual for January here...  But that didn't stop my cravings for spring!  Wedges, dresses, rain boots, umbrellas.. :)

So I threw in some bright punches in my outfit!  Perhaps I was trying to encourage Mother Nature?  (hint, hint)

But back to reality... Brrrrrr...

The Perfect Coat

One morning, the husband and I decided to take a mini roadtrip to a Coach Outlet to use up my gift card.  (Check out that rocking new purse!  Only spent $30 on it!)

This is what I wore that morning.  Skinny jeans, Uggs, NY&Co. Coat, Polka Dot Scarf.

I actually laughed because my husband hated that I "dressed up"... What??  Under my coat I was wearing a hoodie :)  I think he was focused on my hair.  Lucky for me, I did the wonderful sock bun overnight and took it out so I didn't have to worry about washing, blow drying and styling my hair for the day :)

Back to the coat!  I got a steal on this!  I waited impatiently  for this beauty to go on sale.  I can't remember the full price.. I want to say it was over a hundred and I believe I scored it for $50, along with a gift card I received, I only spent about $10 on this!

What I love about this coat:  The military inspired buttons!  They are just darling!  And they are EVERYWHERE.  On the cuffs, the back and of course on the front to bundle up.

The RUFFLES!  The bottom of this coat has a three tiered flat ruffle.  You think that it may enhance your booty and hips, but since they lay flat, they work!  YES!!!!  I'm a sucker for ruffles and hate that I can't always wear ruffles from head to toe!

Next best thing?!  THE BELTED SASH!  This is key  for us!  It really enhances our tiny waists.  I tie it instead of belting it.  It's a quick and easy way to snuggle up and I love the effortless  feel to it!

And who can go wrong with this COLOR!?  Olive?  If you asked me a few years back, I would of thought you were joking!  I don't know how my taste expanded but I'm now a full sucker for anything olive!  And maybe it's because I have green eyes? :)  It's a mystery unknown!

Peary

Welcome to my blog, A Frugal Pear!  (That's ME!)

Hi!  How are you doing?  Let me start off by introducing myself.  My name is Adrienne and I have a booty. :)  With age and growing out of my teenage years, its multiplied.  I classify my shape as a pear.  Some people hate that term, but I think it's rather cute! :)

A little about me and why I started this blog:  I am a bargain shopper.  When I hit a store, I go immediately to the clearance and sale racks... It's like I undergo a radar!  Nothing like buying a fantastic shirt for way under the original price!

What does bargain shopping and a pear shape have to do with anything?

Here it goes:

I decided a few years ago, when I met the man of my dreams, that I can't *hide* behind my curves...  Wearing oversized shirts DOES NOT hide your behind, ladies!! They will always find a way to stick out.. (Literally!) And my husband absolutely loves my curves... So why don't I?  I have reached the point in my life that I will wear something way out of my comfort zone simply because I LOVE IT..  I didn't CARE that my hips stuck out from one side of the room to another!  It's all about the confidence. :)  Those days are still far and in between, but I hope I can overcome that and wear whatever I fancy whenever I want and be an inspiration to others out there like me!  (Work what your mama gave you!!)

If you are anything like me, you can range from a SMALL to an X-LARGE.  (Whhhaaatt??  How is that even possible?)  Yup.  It's true.  Having a tiny waist and larger hips/behind, it's a bit tedious when shopping.  My motto:  Don't be afraid to try things on in ALL sizes!  You will never know what works for your shape unless you do!  You WILL run into failures, but you can't let that defeat you..  You MAY surprise yourself!  I know I have!

With all that being said, at least once a week, I will display outfits I wear.  Some may be fails, some may be inspiration.. (Hoping more inspiration than fails! HA HA!)..  for anyone out there who has a hard time embracing their curvy bottoms or for anyone who just loves to bargain shop!  Everyone is welcome :)

I hope you stick around to read and see what I have to say and show!!
