Easter Goodies

Matt and I are pretty big kids.
And I mean, really big kids...
We love getting excited over the opportunity to spread a
little dough on some goodies for one another.

Granted, any day is acceptable to receive gifts, right, ladies?
:D

However, a holiday is a nice excuse :)

I know the true meaning of Easter isn't about Mr. Bunny, or the egg hunts, baskets, peeps
(and all other scrumptious Easter candy)

But it's nice to still celebrate it with those extra activities.

It's how we were brought up...
Hard not to obtain that little tradition.

Isn't my basket the cutest??  It's my childhood basket!
I remember going to the craft store with my mom and sisters and brother to pick out baskets, letters, and ribbon.
I loved that we were able to make our own baskets and have each be different!

And then there's Matt's.
LOL!
It's a little small.. We need to get him a bigger one so I can spoil him more ;)

I stashed his Kindle in his basket because one of his gifts was
The Walking Dead: Vol. 1: Days Gone Bye

We're such huge fans of the show so we've been wanting to get into the actual story line the show is based off of.

As we were all done, Matt went to grab a bag to dump all my candy in
and said "just in case we didn't forget anything"

Sneaky, sneaky!

As I pulled the Easter grass up, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded was hiding underneath. :)

Ok... I'm not much of a gamer....
I play a few games due to the hubs and bro, but other than that, my game is The Sims. HA!

I never play alone.  Or play the actual story lines.  I play multi player every time.

On that note, does anyone remember the N64 GoldenEye 007 game?
LOVED.THAT.GAME!

We'd have game night all the time and always play against each other.
This went on for many years, and I even played with my friend's family, too.
I'm not saying I was any good (I sucked!) but I had so much fun!

So this game was a must have for me!

Thank you, dear husband of mine!
<3 <3 <3

P.S.  My husband is sooo good to me!
I really prefer the Reeses MINIS...
To me, they taste much better than the regular cups.
It's just the right amount of delicious chocolate and creamy peanut butter.
The ripples on the edges help too.
LOVE THAT!

Easter - Part One

Even though it's cold and bitter outside, it's warm and happy behind closed doors!
If Spring is not ready, then I'll just bring Spring to ME!

Easter is my second favorite holiday... And that's probably only because there's no Easter music...
Otherwise I'd be all over it like peanut butter on jelly!
I love holiday music!
(Yes, I listen to it throughout the year... GUILTY!)

This is only part one of my Easter/spring decor.
I have a few DIY projects lined up to do.
(Thank you, Pinterest!)

Ellen gets showcased! ;)

My love for poppies...

Can you guess why?

Hint:  There's a clue in the last photo ;)

Easter Weekend

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!!  I know I did!  I couldn't wait for it but not for all the reasons why I usually anticipate for Easter..  This year it was mainly because I gave up coffee for lent...  (YIKES!  Hopefully you didn't encounter that  danger zone... Quitting cold turkey made me a grouchy mess!)  I simply couldn't wait to warm my fingers around my favorite mug again and sip the steamy, carmel goodness.  Mmmmm....  I was like a kid in a candy store!  I woke up quite early and started jumping on the bed for my husband to wake.  I'm surprised I didn't fall down the stairs at the speed I was going with my clumsy feet. :)

Just to show you how excited I was, I took photos of the whole "coffee process".  Its like I've never seen coffee brew out of a pot... Ever...  Sad, I know.
{Please ignore the coffee grounds}

(Oooohhh.. Pretty...)

Picture perfect :)  Too bad my chair was all wet!  So I tip toed back inside.  And sadly, I didn't eat all those donuts...  I shared with my husband.  If he didn't wake, the whole bag might have been gone... But then I would've blamed the squirrels. :)

After my excitement of my first cup of coffee since lent, I finally started my day.

I debuted my polka dot skirt that I bought from Forever 21 in the recent post.

(Do you see my little pig?  He finally made it outside!  I've had him for over a year and have been terrifed to put him outside and have him blown over and break...  Seeing that I'm overprotective over a ceramic pig, I feel soo sorry for our future child...)

Outfit Details:
White Cami - Kohls, $5
Sheer White Top - Old Navy, $3
Skirt - Forever 21, $22.80
Wedges - Target, $8
Pearl Choker and Earrings - Gift
Hair Flower - My shop, LittleLoveTales

Sadly my wedges didn't last very long since I decided to be Super Auntie for the day and run around with my nieces and nephews :)

Note to Self:  Next time bring pants and a pair of gym shoes.
