Matt and I are pretty big kids.
And I mean, really big kids...
We love getting excited over the opportunity to spread a
little dough on some goodies for one another.
Granted, any day is acceptable to receive gifts, right, ladies?
:D
However, a holiday is a nice excuse :)
I know the true meaning of Easter isn't about Mr. Bunny, or the egg hunts, baskets, peeps
(and all other scrumptious Easter candy)
But it's nice to still celebrate it with those extra activities.
It's how we were brought up...
Hard not to obtain that little tradition.
Isn't my basket the cutest?? It's my childhood basket!
I remember going to the craft store with my mom and sisters and brother to pick out baskets, letters, and ribbon.
I loved that we were able to make our own baskets and have each be different!
And then there's Matt's.
LOL!
It's a little small.. We need to get him a bigger one so I can spoil him more ;)
I stashed his Kindle in his basket because one of his gifts was
The Walking Dead: Vol. 1: Days Gone Bye
We're such huge fans of the show so we've been wanting to get into the actual story line the show is based off of.
As we were all done, Matt went to grab a bag to dump all my candy in
and said "just in case we didn't forget anything"
Sneaky, sneaky!
As I pulled the Easter grass up, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded was hiding underneath. :)
Ok... I'm not much of a gamer....
I play a few games due to the hubs and bro, but other than that, my game is The Sims. HA!
I never play alone. Or play the actual story lines. I play multi player every time.
On that note, does anyone remember the N64 GoldenEye 007 game?
LOVED.THAT.GAME!
We'd have game night all the time and always play against each other.
This went on for many years, and I even played with my friend's family, too.
I'm not saying I was any good (I sucked!) but I had so much fun!
So this game was a must have for me!
Thank you, dear husband of mine!
<3 <3 <3
P.S. My husband is sooo good to me!
I really prefer the Reeses MINIS...
To me, they taste much better than the regular cups.
It's just the right amount of delicious chocolate and creamy peanut butter.
The ripples on the edges help too.
LOVE THAT!
This is awesome!!! I love exchanging Easter baskets with my hubby too... Although, this year he was gone all week for work - and working 15 hrs a day - so we decided not to do it this year. He gets me presents often enough that I don't feel jipped. ;-)
ReplyDeleteAwww, bummer! :( You can always celebrate Easter another day ;) HE HE!
DeleteThe little things are THE.BEST.EVER!
And a gift can be pennyless but be worth a million dollars! <3
I seriously need to do baskets with Sean. We've never done it. We're completely missing out, haha.
ReplyDeleteThe two of you are the cutest!!
YES!!! Doooo itttt!!!!
DeleteIt's so much fun!!!
Although, I had my gifts for him hidden, he asked why I didn't take his basket yet ;) HA HA! Then I saw mine was missing... Darn him! :) He was ahead of the game, for sure!
How cute is this post!? I love that you and your man swapped baskets. I am definitely doing that with Garrett next year! I love your basket and his, so cute! You both got some cool stuff!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Whitney!
DeleteIt's so fun to face your inner child! :) :) :)
I can't wait to see what you, two, do next year!
This is so cute! Being big kids is pretty much the best, I fully support that! My boyfriend would be VERY jealous of Matt's batman basket haha!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a wonderful day!
